This shade sail has proven to be quite durable in high winds. There a many customer reviews stating them withstanding winds of 60+ mph. This is true only when properly mounted and under correct tensioning, and well secured to sturdy anchor points. It is alway prudent and recommended to take down the sail(s) and store indoors when weather is forecasting for extreme winds especially in hurricane prone areas.
