Outdoor Hardwood Furniture by Dixie Seating Company

Rocking Chairs and Side Tables

For over fifty years, Dixie Seating Company has manufactured solid, hardwood rockers, tables and children's Outdoor Hardwood Furniture. This durable, American made, outdoor furniture has classic styles and simple designs which will provide you years of enjoyment. All finishes are hand sanded and come in a variety of painted finishes. Their child rockers were first introduced in the 1930s, and have remained a best seller for generations.

North American Ash is the hardwood mainly used for seats, back slats and posts while North American Hickory is mainly used for the stretchers. Other solid hardwood species may be substituted as the market dictates. Components are all machined and hand-sanded resulting in a smooth, uniform surface. These woods are used for the unique hardwood characteristics in each species. Interlocking joints are manipulated to take advantage of the wood's natural characteristics along with precisely machines components. This along with multiple pressure clampings allow Dixie Seating to create these pieces without the use of glue. Rocking chairs are delivered with the front and back assembled at their North Carolina factory. Partial assembly is required by the customer that is easy and quick using the included hardware (seats, arms, runners and side stretchers must be attached). The Child Rocker does ship fully assembled.

Affordable, with a sturdy, solid wood construction, this hardwood patio furniture has been manufactured with American made craftsmanship that will last for many years to come. Each piece is packed in an exclusively designed carton for safe shipment.

This furniture should only be used in covered outdoor areas like on a covered deck, patio or balcony.

Dixie Seating, known for its commitment to craftsmanship and timeless designs, was forced to cease operations abruptly on January 1, 2024. The unforeseen closure was a consequence of the termination of their lease, a situation that caught both the company and its loyal customers off guard.
