Shade Sails Provide UV Protection from the Sun

The Commercial 95 10ft x 14ft x 17ft-2in Right Angle Triangle Shade Sail Is an economical way to shade your deck or patio. More than ever, people are spending more time outdoors, and protection from the sun has become increasingly important due to the effects of the sun on the skin. Also known as Sun Sails, shade sails make beautiful additions to your patio, backyard, swimming pool, or outdoor living area, and they provide excellent protection from the sun and UV radiation. A shade sail is the perfect alternative to a traditional pergola or covered porch. Floating and curvaceous, shade sails make an attractive addition to any property, and with the right design can enhance the existing property with flair and style.

These shade sails feature Commercial 95 fabric by Synthesis. Commercial 95 material is a 340 grams per square meter high density polyethylene knitted fabric specially designed to breathe and keep you cooler and more comfortable in hot weather. This state of the art material has a 10 year warranty against UV breakdown. It blocks up to 98% of the sun's harmful UV rays, yet it remains totally unaffected by moisture and natural temperature extremes. And because Commercial 95 fabric is knitted, not woven, it won't tear or fray. Shade sails have reinforced webbing around the perimeter and a stainless steel ring at each corner. The material is not water proof. Commercial 95 fabric has a limited 10 year manufacturer's warranty. Thread, webbing, and D-Rings have a one year warranty.

The perimeter of each sail is designed with a gentle curve inwards towards the center of the sail to control fabric tension. This inward curve will be approximately 6-8% of the length of each side of the shade sail. Therefore, when tension is placed on the shade sail, the fabric will not wrinkle. Shade sails, when installed properly, do not sag or flap in the wind.

Sail Shades are wonderfully versatile; they can be attached to homes, trees, or patio columns. In addition, they can be supported by wood posts or steel columns embedded in concrete footings, and can also be taken down seasonally as required. Note: Due to the available Commercial 95 fabric widths, your shade sail may have seams.

Below are the perimeter reinforcement options for the Commercial 95 Shade Sails:
	Residential Sail Corner with 1.5 inch webbing. Used for normal residential use in sails up to about 325 square feet. 1-1/2 inch webbing is rated at an 1800 pound break strength.
	Heavy Residential/Light Commercial Sail with 2 inch UV inhibitive reinforcement webbing. Used for smaller commercial applications and for larger residential use in sails from 325 to 500 square feet. 2 inch webbing is rated at a 5,500 pound break strength.
	Light Commercial Sail with 1/8 inch steel cable reinforcement. Used for smaller commercial applications where a steel cable is required or for residential use. For use in sails up to 325 square feet. 1/8 inch cable has a 400 pound work load strength and a 2,000 pound break strength.
	Commercial Sail with 1/4 inch steel cable reinforcement. Used for larger commercial applications where a steel cable is required or for larger residential sails. For use in sails 325 square feet or larger. 1/4 inch cable has a 1,400 pound work load and a 6,000 pound break strength.
